Truck Committee: Carroll (Chair), Winters (Maintenance), Albright (Honor Guard), Union Pres., Boudian, Fritz, Miller.
*Committee selected and overseen by Union E-board.
Main purpose for the truck is to honor our fallen firefighters and Honor Guard activities. Priority will be given to those events.
Other possible activities include but not limited to:
Parades, Weddings, Retirement activities, Birthdays, Family pictures, Senior pictures, Union picnic, Fundraisers, and any other activities approved by committee.
All non-union member events, except funerals, will be asked for a suggested minimum donation of $250.00.
All Local 179 members paying full dues will be allowed to drive union fire truck. All members will be checked off by a committee member and a list will be maintained by the committee chair. A committee member will be notified any time the truck is to be used or driven. Union members family members will be allowed to ride on the fire truck seat belted in cab only. This applies to events approved by committee. (example: parade or giving birthday boy or girl a ride.)
Truck account will be reported on at union meetings.
Annual reports will be given to the union every December by the committee. A review of the fire truck with the committee, E-board, and interested union members will be scheduled in December 2014.
If at any time the union decides to sell the fire truck, Committee and E-board members will decide the terms of the sale.
